Goals

At Purple Ribbon Council, we believe preventing domestic abuse BEFORE it starts and BEFORE someone gets hurt IS possible! The solution is in all of us!

Everything we do aims to meet the following goals:

• BRIDGE

  and fill in the gaps that traditional social services miss.

• COLLABORATE

  with “natural helpers” to heighten prevention and intervention (natural helpers are: parents, families, friends, co-workers, teachers, salon professionals, volunteers, fitness instructors, concerned citizens, social workers, and others).

• INSPIRE

  everyday people to think about domestic abuse as a social disease and to take action to help prevent it

• INVEST

  in grassroots approaches that lead to primary (BEFORE abuse starts) and secondary (BEFORE harm occurs) prevention.

• SUPPORT, BENEFIT and EMPOWER

  the most silent survivors.

• MOBILIZE

  networks of Go Purple Ambassadors to help break the silence, break the cycle, save lives.
